Re: Kathy Acton-Oldakowski, Better Homes & Garden Realtor
Ive known Kathy for many years both as a friend and as a business associate. I asked her to represent me as my agent in both the selling of my existing home and the purchasing of my new home because I knew she gives 120% in everything she does.
As expected, Kathy was there in every turn of all the processes from driving many miles to look at homes to spending hours during the inspections for both the sale & purchased homes because I couldnt be there, to being there during the signing of the documents. Her negotiating skills to obtain the sale of my home brought top dollar. Kathy had my best interest in the forefront. It was her full time job until both sale and purchase came to a close.
I was very fortunate to have Kathy in my corner during one of the most stressful experiences a person can go through, the selling and purchasing of homes at the same time.
To Whom it May Concern,
Ms. Acton was instrumental in the purchase of a home here in Warm Springs area. She represented us in our extensive search of the southern Fremont area. Her knowledge in this area is very apparent. Our purchase was handled in an offline fashion from a family trust managed by three surviving trustees.
Ms. Actons support did not end with offer preparation, she was also instrumental in helping clear the post inspection hurdles to secure our bank financing. She appears well connected with resources in supporting fields from contractors to financing. We will return to Ms. Acton when it is time to list our properties.

Being a first generation immigrant to US, owning a house was part of my American dream. However, I did not know how to start and arbitrarily connected with Kathy Action.
As we went through looking for house, we changed our search criterion multiple times. Much of those changes came as a result of our Starbucks meeting after a long day of viewing houses. Those discussions helped us understand what to look for in a house and area.
Kathy accommodated my travel schedule and often times did private showing, even late in the evening.
After a few months of ritual, we finally bought our house. Kathy worked with multiple stakeholders including bank, sellers agent, inspector, etc to get the process done as efficiently as possible. She also provided excellent recommendation for getting our roof done and wall painted.
During all this process, where we looked at houses from Fremont to Milpitas, and San Jose, we never felt pressurized by Kathy. If you are a first time home buyer and ignorant as I was, you should consider working with Kathy to find your first home!
Highly likely to recommend
In selling my problem lot, Kathy had resources to get the property to market. The challenge in selling and closing the deal was extremely difficult do to the building dept. having to run the approval process to develop into several lots for my buyer. While this is going on Kathy was keeping a property secured for me in another County. This was a long process with a lot of ups and downs. Kathy managed to hold all things together for me and my buyer along with the new land I purchased elsewhere. I believe with out Kathy and her determination the deal would have fallen apart.
